This Zone 7 event is part of a 2-day autocross weekend, co-hosted with Sacramento Valley Region (SVR). Saturday, October 18, is run by SVR—register separately through their page.

 

Registration & Pricing

Deadline: Registration closes Wednesday, October 15, at midnight (or when 60 spots are filled).
Cost: Paid via MotorsportReg.com (MSR)

  • $95 per driver
  • -$10 PCA Member Discount
  • -$10 Porsche Classification Discount
  • $2 MSR Service Fee (paid to MSR directly)
  • Second Driver? Must register separately with a different car number.

No walk-up registrations. All drivers must register online before the deadline.

Weekend Details

  • Group Dinner: Join us Saturday night at (~5:00, location TBA) to share stories from the day. Add your name when registering with Redwood or SVR. It's free.
  • Camping: Thunderhill offers overnight camping for $20 per person per night—please sign up during registration.
  • Hotels: Find nearby accommodations.

Event Schedule

  • 7:00 AM – Gates Open
  • 7:30-8:00 AMCheck-in at the registration trailer
  • 8:00-8:30 AM – Tech inspection (cars must be ready by 8:15 AM)
  • 8:30 AM – Instructor-led course walk
  • 8:45 AMMandatory Drivers Meeting
  • ~9:00 AM – First car on course
  • ~12:00 PM – Lunch break (~30 minutes)

We aim for 6-8+ runs per driver, depending on run group efficiency. Let’s work together to maximize track time!

What to Bring

  • Lunch & Water (some water provided)
  • Hat & Sunscreen
  • Layers for cool mornings / Rain gear if needed
  • Folding chair
  • Painter’s tape or magnets for car numbers (no blue tape on blue cars; numbers must be visible from stations)
  • Helmet (Snell K, M, or SA-rated, 2010 or newer—loaners available)

Rules & Requirements

  • Car numbers: If you don’t have an assigned number, one will be provided at registration
  • Work assignments: All drivers must work an assigned position (typically standing for ~1 hour per shift). Drivers must report promptly for their assignment. Failure to work or arriving late may result in loss of runs or removal from the event.
  • This is an all-day event: Plan on joining both morning and afternoon sessions – check with the event chair if you need an exception
  • Instruction: In-car coaching provided for new drivers
  • If there are two people in a car, one must be a PCA instructor
  • Vehicle requirements: Cars must be in good mechanical condition, with no major leaks and a clear interior
  • Convertible roll bars: Non-Porsche convertibles without factory rollover protection can run on street tires (200+ TW) with stock seatbelts. If running race tires (<200 TW) or 4/5/6-point harnesses, a roll bar is required
  • Rain or shine: The event runs in all weather – no refunds for inclement conditions
  • Prohibited: Drones, firearms, alcohol, and drugs are not allowed at PCA events
  • 10 mph limit on-site when not on course
  • Please drive respectfully to and from the site
  • Conduct: All participants are expected to show good sportsmanship, follow event staff instructions, and treat others with respect. Unsafe or unsportsmanlike behavior (on or off course) will not be tolerated and may result in being asked to leave without a refund.
