About this event
Spring has sprung, and Isotopes Park is seeing action. Because our Roadrunner summer is busy, we are going to attend an early game this year. The plan is to attend a 6:30 game Thursday, May 16 against the Sugar Land Space Cowboys from near Houston. At the request of many attendees from last year, we are booking the Smith Pavilion for our evening, enabling us to move around and mingle more than last year. We examined the cost of regular tickets, plus food bought from vendors, and realized that the cost of the Pavilion and buffet dinner is not significantly different. The cost of Smith Pavilion picnic seating is $36.75. That price includes buffet in the Smith’s Pavilion for 1 1/2 hours, then reserved seating near where we were last year along the third base line for the rest of the game. The buffet consists of pulled pork, burgers with cheese, hot dogs, corn-on-the-cob, potato salad, chile, and brownies. You’re on your own for adult beverages.
Registrations close May 1 (the picnic staff need a final count early). You will need to pay for your tickets through the MSR website. We will meet as a group for parking, and I will distribute tickets then. Once you register, you will be provided with more specific instructions, along with rules and regulations for Isotopes park.
This promises to be another fun evening for Roadrunner Region PCA. So put on your ballcaps and join us!
