Potomac's PorscheFest Track Experience
Summit Point - Summit Point CircuitAbout this event
PCA Potomac's "Track Experience" during PorscheFest at Summit Point's main circuit offers newcomers a basic introduction to high performance driver education.
Have you considered doing a Driver Education event (DE) or wanted to sense what it is like to do laps on a race track? If so, join us on Saturday, July 27th for our inaugural “Track Experience” at PCA Potomac’s PorscheFest. Experience high performance driving from the passenger seat of a car driven by an expert PCA instructor. The instructor will explain the basics of driving on track, including car control, optimizing cornering, passing and being passed by faster cars, safety protocols, and communications from flag stations.
Each participant will ride in one session lasting about 20 to 25 minutes in the novice run group. The number of openings is very limited, and slots will be assigned in the order in which registrations are received in Motorsportsreg.com (MSR).
Depending upon demand and resource availability, PCA Potomac may offer sessions on Sunday, July 28. Registrants will have the option to note whether they can participate on Sunday if they are not confirmed for Saturday. Participants must have or create an account in MSR (using a user-unique email address) to register and pay for the Track Experience. The cost is $50. Participants must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
Event requirements
All drivers must be at least 18 yrs old and have a valid drivers license.

APPLICATIONS/ACCEPTANCE
- You do not need to be a PCA member to participate.
- Although online registration closes Thursday, July 25th, we highly encourage registering as soon as possible due to limited capacity.
- The event status in your MSR Dashboard will initially be set to "New" (yellow). You only have a place in line, not an actual slot for the event until the registrars confirm your registration (which you can see in MSR with a green "Confirmed" status). Your registration status will be changed to "Waitlist - New" if you were not confirmed for Saturday and/or you chose to be considered for the optional Sunday offering.
- We will contact you via email prior to the event to confirm acceptance, and to provide a time and instructions for the Track Experience that you must read in advance of the event.
- You are only allowed to attend the one session to which you will be assigned (one of four throughout the day). You must arrive at least one hour before your assigned session.
- You have 24 hours to cancel in MSR without penalty (i.e., to receive a full refund) after you register online.
- You must sign liability waivers (for PCA and for Summit Point). Event waivers will be provided for review and required signatures at on-site event registration.
CLOTHING
- Full coverage rubber-soled shoes and socks are required. Long sleeved and legged clothing made of natural fibers is recommended. Shorts and short-sleeved shirts (no tank tops) are allowed.
- A helmet will be loaned to participants who do not have an acceptable one.
PAYMENT
- PCA Potomac processes payment only by credit card. You are responsible for maintaining valid credit card information in your MSR profile.
- We bill your credit card the Thursday before the event. We only bill Confirmed participants, and not those who are waitlisted.
- Billing problems result in notification by email within 24 hours of the billing date. If you do not correct the issue within 24 hours, your registration will be canceled.
- Credit card and billing information uses secure connections and is encrypted. You are the only person who has access to your card number. We only see the last four digits for billing.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND
You may cancel in MSR for any reason and without penalty before billing occurs on Thursday, July 25th. No refunds will be processed on or after this date.
