What is better than a Saturday morning car show in Santa Fe? A Saturday with beautiful Porsches to see and fabulous animals who are ready for their new homes!
Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society (SFASHS) is hosting an adoption event in partnership with the Roadrunner Region of Porsche Club of America. The event will be held on Saturday, June 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For the this event, Roadrunner Region PCA will be bringing a colorful array of beautiful sports cars to the Shelter, to focus attention on the adoptable dogs, cats, and other animals who need new homes. We hope you will join us to adopt a beautiful animal who needs your help. If you are not in a position to take on a new pet, come to support the center with donations of time, goods or cash as outlined on their website. They have a wish list on Amazon and Chewy.com. This is a world class, no-kill adoption center. Jane Goodall said it is one of the best she’s seen. See for yourself at https://sfhumanesociety.org/; and be impressed as I have been.
All adult animals will be fee waived for the event! Every animal available for adoption is spayed/neutered, microchipped, and has all age appropriate vaccines.
This is a bring-your-own picnic event. There is no food available on site, so we are recommending that you treat this event like a car show – bring your folding chairs and a picnic lunch, including water or other nonalcoholic drinks. If you have an umbrella or other shade cover, bring that too. There is plenty of room to park; and there are restrooms in the shelter.
So we can get an ideas of how many cars to expect, please register at MSR. There is no cost to bring your car, but we do encourage donations for the Shelter. Once you register, we will provide more information. The plan is to have a meeting point for Albuquerque members, and drive together to the Shelter. Our members in Santa Fe will be deciding if they want to drive out together or come individually.
